In awe of the bravery of everyone in Minneapolis. If I have any optimism left, it’s because of people’s ability to stand up for each other in the worst times. ICE are amateur human beings, only good for slipping on their namesake.

a lot of people seem convinced that because they're spouting bald-faced, obvious lies on television that means they're going to win

a question: do you think the Renee Good shooting worked for them? or did their lies only work on their base and deepen and intensify the opposition of everyone else?

Abolish ICE, prosecute and imprison its leaders, impeach and remove the President from office. This is the only sane reaction to a group of armed men kidnapping and gunning down our neighbors in the street.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

Genuinely the only thing keeping me going—but it really is keeping me going—is how good it is to see people link arms and push for this to end.

I cannot stop thinking about how much love people can have for their neighbors, and how much work and money is poured into breaking that love apart.

A national general strike is needed not just to protest the violence, but to acknowledge the absurdity that we’re all just supposed to carry on with our stupid little daily lives amidst the ambient terrorism of an unchecked state militia executing innocent people in the streets of our country.
