Has always been. The amount of people who became DEPENDENT on it in such a short time already hints at how addictive it is, of course their critical thinking skills would degrade.

It's downright sickening, which is why I want this tech to die out as soon as humanly possible.

I don't want to see apologies from creators for their choices to honor their morals. I want to see corporations respect artists' autonomy and consent, ESPECIALLY in regards to "policies" that would compromise the worker's moral integrity.

Every bsky staff member keeps talking about how the goal is Nice Social Media but then the second they're even remotely pushed back against for something shitty, and they immediately crash out for multiple days crying about their subhuman userbase.

If I was their head PR person I would have bludgeoned myself into a severe concussion from slamming my head into my desk whenever these people post.

What's funny to me is they know each other. They should have each others phone numbers or can get them. They can text each other privately and keep the facade of professionalism. This is all just a masochism.

It actually kicks ass how much the people who run this site hate the people who use it. Just constant seething meltdowns over having to put up with a bunch of artists, furries, and trans people instead of crypto-hustlers and AI guys making Linkedin-tier posts. I'm glad they're miserable, frankly

Yeah and again, twitter PAYWALLS it. Its also a shithole infested with the worst people, so even if it wasn’t paywalled I’d never go back. I’m desperate for an edit button, but even I have standards. 😅

That happens already though, adding an accessibility feature won’t change it. And if you’re worried about potential abuse (I’m not blind to the possibility) there are plenty of solutions, such as an “edited post” label, and/or an archive of the pre-edited post that people can view.

Tbh anyone with the title of Baroness is more likely than most to be actually inbred to some degree, so like glass houses and whatnot.

They’re not so great when you have extreme anxiety over your words being misinterpreted. They can be funny as a reader, but stressful when trying to communicate clearly.
