🚲⚡ Not all e-bikes are road legal.

To ride without tax, insurance or a licence, it must: have pedals, max speed 15.5mph, motor 250W or less, and only give power when pedalling.

Hi 👋 police vehicles can stop on double yellows if needed. Even when officers are just grabbing food, it means they can keep the car close by and leave straight away if an emergency comes in 🚓⚡ Officers always consider the risks of blocking traffic and will only park there if it’s safe to do so ✅

Hiya 👋 yes, parking on double yellow lines is an offence. The only exceptions are things like loading/unloading (where signs allow) or if you’ve got a valid Blue Badge and follow the rules. Parking on them is usually enforced by the council rather than the police 🚗❌

Hi Ian, while this is a gardening tool, carrying any bladed article in public without a clear lawful reason can be an offence under the Criminal Justice Act 1988. Tools should only be carried when travelling directly to and from where they are used and stored in secure containers.

Sadly, serving Police Dog Storm passed away last week with his family by his side after a battle with cancer.

Storm was an outstanding Police Dog who served as a General Purpose and Firearms Support Dog. He had a fantastic career and loved work as much as his days out.

After patrols lost the suspect of a serious assault, Nova's keen senses led her to find the suspect hiding in a bin. When the suspect resisted, Nova took out the trash! One violent suspect in custody. #PoliceDog #DogUnit #GMP

Officers are appealing for witnesses following fatal road traffic collision in Manchester city centre today. A van collided with a three-year-old girl, who sadly died from her injuries. The driver fled the scene, officers are following several lines of enquiry to locate him.

PD Jimmy Licensed last week catching a suspected car thief / drug dealer this week. PD Jimmy tracked the fleeing suspect and located him hid up in some undergrowth. A quantity of drugs also located. Excellent start to PD Jimmy's career 🐕👮‍♂️

Who is watching GMP's #MANHUNT ?

Officers from #GMPTransportUnit stopped this Tesla Cybertruck in Whitefield last night. The driver was a permanent UK resident but the vehicle was registered and insured abroad which is prohibited in the UK. The Tesla Cybertruck is not road legal in the UK and does not hold a certificate of conformity. Whilst this may seem trivial to some, legitimate concerns exist around the safety of other road users or pedestrians if they were involved in a collision with a Cybertruck. The vehicle was subsequently seized under S165 of the Road Traffic Act and the driver reported.

Thank you to Greater Manchester Police for helping keep vulnerable road users safe from this.

There's a reason Tesla Cybertrucks are not legal in the UK and Europe; Cybertrucks present acute dangers to pedestrians and don’t meet European safety standards.
