Last Nebula before galaxy-season: Rosette Nebula. Gear: 130/910mm apo, ASI2600mm, SHO-filters with RGB stars. #astrophotography
Well done !
Rather bright meteor explosion over Luxembourg at ~ 18:55.
More data from the 25th of February under quite good seeing conditions. I know that the increased saturation is not to everyone's taste, but I like it a lot when it’s not too much. 🙂
Gear: C11 & ASI178MC #astrophotography
about to 'land' on the lunar south pole... ;-) Gear: C11 & ASI178mc #astrophotography
Excellent seeing conditions on Wednesday, so I went for my first full lunar mosaic with the C11 in quite a while. Here's a first glimpse: Archimedes, Autolycus & Aristillus. Gear: C11, ASI 2600mm + red-filter for luminance, ASI 178mc for colour. #astrophotography
Yesterday’s sidekick: Jupiter with two of its Galilean moons, Ganymede and Io.
Gear: 11" Schmidt–Cassegrain, 2600mm sensor, RGB filters.

Orion core in narrowband (SHO). Gear: TS-Optics CF-Apo 130 & ASI 2600mm #astrophotography
the moon with a polar cap? :-)
Yes, so far it seems so. Maybe they will integrate a web interface later.
anyone on @monnett.social ? Something like a European Instagram alternative. Still in alpha stage, but already usable. 👉 manuelhuss
Excellent piece. Contrary to the ridiculous claims in the US NSS that Europe is in 'civilisational decline', it has never been as relevant as today. That is exactly why powers such as the US and China (and multinationals and techbros) actively attempt to undermine it. Elbows up, Europe!
easy, an egg from above or below
I haven’t posted in a while, so here we go. The Flaming Star Nebula, captured from my backyard.
Gear: TS-Optics apo 130/910, ASI 2600mm pro, Antlia narrowband & RGB filters. Exposure: about 48 hours

She’s still there. New gear also means a new Andromeda shot. Gear: 130/910mm apo & ASI2600mono. Exposure ~16 hours. #astrophotography
Menkib and the California Nebula. After failing to get the whole nebula into the FOV, I tried something different: focusing on the tension between that beast of a star and the nebula.
Gear: 130/910 mm APO, ASI 2600MM Pro & SHORGB filters. Total exposure: ~15 hours over 4 nights. #astrophotography
Genee, an ech stelle leider fest, dass meng Kanner elo riskéieren déi selwecht Problemer ze kréien, déi mär virun 30 Joer villes verbaut hunn.
This will be my big project for the winter season. Yesterday’s sky allowed me to gather 2 hours worth of h-alpha data, which convinced me to go with this framing. Planning to go all in with all the filters blazing… :-) SHO palette with some RGB and RGB stars. #astrophotography
Trop bien ! Combiner du Ha comme luminance avec des données RGB ou OSC, ça garantit du spectacle.
October and November fighting for the high ground.
The area around LDN 879 in the Cygnus constellation, close to the bright star Sadr, about 5,000 light years away from earth. Not the most popular target in Cygnus, but there’s a lot going on here. A complete rework of my narrowband data captured with an 8" Newton & ASI1600mm. #astrophotography
Since the weather won’t let me go comet hunting, I’m working through some old data. Here are my Pillars of Creation. They’re about seven years old now, and they came out pretty sharp considering my equipment and skill set at the time :-) So here’s a rework and heavy crop. #astrophotography
The central area of the Soul Nebula (IC 1848) in the Cassiopeia constellation, about 7,500 light years away from Earth. Less than 2 hours of h-alpha data (combined with older color data). Targeting 20+ hours of exposure. Gear: 130/910mm apo, Antlia 2.5nm ha-filter & ASI 2600mm pro. #astrophotography
Alpha Persei (Mirfak) as seen during an equipment test. :-) Gear: CF-Apo 130/910mm, ASI 2600mm Pro, Antlia RGB-filters (10x60s each) #astrophotography
To keep the big one from spending lonely nights outside, I got him a little baby brother (71/347mm & 533mc camera) for company. ;-) 🔭❤️🔭 #astrophotography
