Wouldn’t this like kill performance? I love this error handling in Go, but in JS you’re adding a bunch of if statements in the happy path and I don’t know if the JS engines are optimised to do this. Do you have insights on this by chance? Don’t know if I love this style in JS or prefer the Swift way

So you set git.sign-on-push and set signing.behaviour to drop. This way you don’t resign commits while doing operations and only do it when you commit

Even better you can configure jj so it signs commits just before it pushes them to git (and fail the push otherwise). This way you do not need to resign when jj makes it shenanigans
