I published my first book last year, and just the fact that I finally did it, something I've wanted to do since I was a teenager, was such a big win for me last year, I'm still giddy about it.

Doesn't matter it's not a best seller, I did it, and that is what matters.

This is a 5 dollar one from walmart, so I'm very surprised it's growing at all. I once bought a big kit that was like... 80 dollars, and all this stuff, and tools and oh my goodness, and nothing grew. Not a damn thing. lol

Levitate is probably my favorite spell because when I was developing magic, I wanted to make sure "Flight" was hard, and not something everyone could do. So I made a golden path that you still have to hoof it on.

I think the idea of the Elements and Aspects being different things is pretty unique. On top of that, I had to explain to my editor why Light, Lightning, Dark, and Flora were considered Unnatural Aspects and he was like "...Oh..." that's how far I'll go into that.

I like the right one too.

Definitely!

I get the idea of some people being like "If anyone is safe, then it ruins it", but like, that's just kinda how stories are. They're main characters for a reason.

If you're going to kill them for the sake of being like "ooo, no one is safe", then I feel like it dampens the impact.

I think character deaths are good so long as it makes sense to the story. If you do it for pure shock value, then it wears off quickly.

I'd want to make sure you get used to a character over time, and then do it if I was going to, but only if proper impact was given.
