Just finished an Aurora Fox mask with labradorite inlay.
The color on the stone is stunning and inspired the color of the fox.

Our first really nice day in a long while. It’s been a chilly gloomy spring so far.

I took Dash for a long long walk by the river, and then Chuck and I went for a lovely bike ride on the new River Road trail.

Dash stayed home alone for the first time. He did great! Good boy🥰

Yes, the circumference of the hole is slightly smaller than the cab. A backing piece holds it in place.
Doesn’t work with thick domed cabs…I have a different method for those. 🙂

This is the finished product; a mashup of a Raven skull and antlers. Very happy with it!

Finished! A client requested a fantasy animal mask; a Raven with deer antlers.

My usual antlered masks are either all one piece (the antlers aren’t as dimensional as I would like) or antlers of resin or 3-d plastic (unsatisfied with plastic look, brittle).

These are entirely made of leather!🥰

Having a problem with Maher. He complains constantly about “woke”, young people, progressives, marriage, children, covid…he’s become a crazy old man shouting at “kids, get off of my lawn!”
I used to like him, now I can’t relate to him at all.

I’ve done that too…it just isn’t as dimensional as I would like. I wanted to try something new. ☺️

Exactly, I’ve had the same issue. Unless they’re really small and thick they’re very brittle.
I’ve used 3-D printed horns and antlers but they look so plastic.
We will see how this looks. 🤞

Still dabbling. I’m waiting to see if I like this format. It’s a bit limited.

Could be on a headband too. These are getting attached to a mask, but really this has a wide application. They’re lighter than resin cast, can’t break, and best of all are not plastic! Leather is a renewable natural resource.
We will see how they look when finished. 🤞

I sometimes bite off more than I can chew. Like, I get ambitious ideas (leather horse skull!) but making the ideas work is a frustrating process.

Busy month this year.
Things I’ve done:
*got my passport
*froze my credit (since our Treasury Dept data was stolen)
*got 5 Calls app and pestered my reps and AG daily
*renewed my ACLU membership
*cried a lot
*been angry a lot
*weeks of good sales at my Etsy shop
*made lots of art
*hugged my pup

I called. The app made it easy. I reached 2 out of 3 of my reps and I’ll do it again tomorrow. 👍🏻

Saving space here.
Not as active as I should be, because I’m panicking about the clown that the nihilists of America have saddled us with, and the damage he is causing.
