Surrounded by a tribe of loved ones last night, I was honored to be inducted into @NPSD Hall of Fame aka the Knights of Honor ceremony. @NPSD is one of PA’s largest public school districts and educates ~13k students annually. I hope my story inspires students to change the world!

I’m happy to announce the 6 month results from the SECOND @UNOSNews policy surrounding the elimination of Black race to diagnose and manage kidney disease. This policy required all US transplant centers review their waitlists and modify time for qualifying Black individuals.

The look on Congresswoman @RepRobinKelly’s race when you are meeting about legislation that will affect dialysis care for Black patients and she realizes you are a @NMQF 40 under 40 awardee (a program she started) 🙏🏾#goodtrouble #fightingthegoodfight #inequitykills

Headed to speak at an AI meeting on the topic of #race and #eGFR and I’m SURE I’ll hear this comment again. I’ll be laughing my way to national policy changes to end #racebased practice in nephrology. #moretocome

Today I had so much fun teaching about #kidneydisease to K to 3rd grade girls. They were so intrigued and asked so many good questions! Thanks to the Philly @linksinc chapter for the invitation and to my sis @FlorenciaPolite for the referral🙏🏾 #representationmatters #nephrolove
