For our queer history zine, Carmine ( @carminedeville.bsky.social ) will be highlighting sapphic love in the secret underground clubs in 1930s and 1940s America, a historical safe haven for LGBTQ+ folks away from homophobia and police brutality.

Here's a sneak preview of my piece for @taplingzines.bsky.social ! This lesbian couple is from Isla de la Tolita in Ecuador. They're based on clay figurines dating to the early first millennium AD that show female couples joined together in the same pose as male/female couples.
