Pure fantasy this, but: Edinburgh using the South Sub, with one pre-metro section involving a stop in Portobello and another tunnel from Piershill to Haymarket, featuring underground stations at Meadowbank, Holyrood, Waverley and Usher Hall. Glasgow Subway extension would be great / romantic.

As someone working in environmental education, including with a chalk geology straddling the Channel, it’s maybe no surprise I think this report makes for positive reading. Good to see steps proposed for a series of interconnected health, socio-economic & environmental benefits.

A fine question - and I looked up the 2025 criteria as a result! Although they’d be very personal takes, involving time & place, it’d be interesting to try ‘Music for the Masses’ #DepecheMode, ‘Fin de Siècle’ #TheDivineComedy, ‘Silver Eye’ #Goldfrapp or ‘Who’s Afraid of #TheArtOfNoise?’

It was great to host this at @thebaytrust.bsky.social yesterday. More than 300 folk came to the #PinesCalyx to see it. Pupils’ work had been part inspired by #Cezanne #ChrisOfili and ancient Egyptian sarcophagi, plus more besides. We’ll have some photos soon.

Fantastic to see the #CoatOfHopes visited @thebaytrust.bsky.social #PinesGarden last weekend. Made originally for a pilgrimage from Newhaven (Sussex) to #COP26 it’s not had too much #BlueSky coverage, though I noticed both @bradfordcathedral.org.uk & @myzerocarbon.org have posted on it recently :-)

It was certainly inconvenient, closing the Trust’s tea room for the weekend too. There were lots of sympathetic potential customers walking by & chatting with us (we’re on the #CoastalPath.) Debris washes along a road from the Downs in very heavy rains; our main entrance is at a dip in that road.
