I finally started writing my own game engine 🤩 Something I've been dreaming about for some time now (and I'm sure many other programmers do as well)

What source control are you using? In my eyes the binary unmergeable blueprint assets have always been the biggest flaw of the engine. We switched from Perforce to GitLab because we missed feature branches, but feature branches and blueprint locking isn't perfect either...

We let our animator pick some temporary names for the villagers in our city builder, and now they're all named stuff like Knulst Roekelbaas, Barry Batsbal, Ruurd Aarskaars, etc.

Placeholders are an easy way to make development more fun ✨
