Oooooo, well done, I've never had anything that good, but I have bagged quite a lot of bargains

That's why most of my clothes buying now is in charity shops, if there's something good it's serendipity, if there isn't it's because I already have too many nice things I don't wear enough.

But as I have no idea what that means in practice that was a totally useless reply, sorry.

OH uses a sniping tool to put in bids at the last minute.

I have a similar dress with a drawstring waist, in winter I wear a thermal top and leggings under with boots to be warm. Middle temperatures tights and a jumper, warm weather as is and loose on the waist to keep cool. Very versatile thing to have in the wardrobe

Nah, I get off and do other stuff in between, it's responsible enough to be left in the house on it's own for a few hours.

Ordinary bread is 15 mins to get going, 2 mins later when you're in the kitchen, 2 mins next time you're in the kitchen, then heat the oven 20 mins early for tea, chuck in the bread, take it out, put in tea. Very little faff & less with an AGA as it goes in one oven and tea in the other.

Ouch and hope it heals soon. Fresh pasta, rice pudding and baked apples for the foreseeable?

The newts are getting jiggy in the pond in daylight, spring is definitely here.

We had it for tea last night, but with sweet potato mash instead of swede. Haggis is not a breakfast ingredient imo, but back pudding most definitely is.

They say 'the machines of the future' will be as smart as people... OK, but WHICH people? Because it kinda matters quite a bit.

And no easy excuse to be nosey and wander into places that look weird if we do it on our own 😕

There's quite a lot of info on it kicking around, but I didn't notice anything like that.

Happy birthday Gaston!
Loved these cartoons by Franquin when I was a kid.
This picture made an ever lasting impression on me.
Gaston goes missing at the office, eventually his colleagues find him like this in the archives:

A German shepherd dog on a tarmac path with a grassy space behind with a smattering of old stone graves. Bright evening sun and long shadows.

Turned into a nice evening if decidedly chilly, so we walked round the graveyard on our way past. Elsie more interested in the possibility of squirrels in the trees at the back.

Ahhh. You used to get little round tins for using in the sink, but I remember them being very messy.

I'm having marginally more success with one of those, accompanied by bucket loads of treats obviously

You might want to stop reading the news and watch this puppy.

Elsie knows exactly how to avoid me and I swear she can sense when the thought, time to go in flits across my brain and she goes from coming in for a cuddle to nope, not coming anywhere near you.

You might think otherwise 😆 I'm predisposed to liking it as I was a massive fan and I adored Scully.

Red Velvet. Has absolutely no pedigree, no awards, doesn't say which grapes are used but it's like drinking warm plums.

Sometimes all you can do is sigh and look apologetic until they get bored 🤭
