After Israel slaughtered several Al Jazeera journalists, I asked the foreign affairs minister's office whether Canada intends to take action.

Their response made me, as a journalist, feel sick.

They pointed me to a tweet repost. One with a grammatical error.

It didn't even name Israel:

Anas Al-Sharif and his colleagues were exposing Israel's atrocities. They were the best of our profession.

Unlike the Western journalists who parrot smears to justify their murder, they were brave. They were loved.

The Liberal government knows that recognizing the group "Métis Nation of Ontario" is explosive for moving forward on Indigenous and Métis land rights.
PM Carney is no dumb bunny.
His decision to host this group on talks over major resource projects on treaty lands will burn bridges of trust.

Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand continues to deceive the Canadian public. Minister Anand put out a statement today about the “flawed report” but does not deny that Canada continues to ship arms to Israel.

I want you all to understand that every time a politician calls for a release of the hostages and does not mention the MANY Palestinian hostages in Israel, they are making it clear they only value some lives — those adjacent to power, those it is politically safe to defend.

And then Prime Minister Carney was elected.
This report says Canada's weapons continue to flow to help murder starving people.

This after we just spent $34 billion of public money on TMX. And we pay to subsidize every barrel.

The Liberals and Conservatives have teamed up to force through Bill C-5 without fulfilling their constitutional obligations. The AFN, ITK and NAN have called this an ungracious invitation to the Supreme Court.

Will they uphold the democratic process and slow down C-5 to keep it out of the courts?

I think this is true for a lot of people.

Many folks *against* Poilievre rather than *for* Carney.

I’m confident things would be worse for trans folks if Poilievre won.
