i'm so emotional about duncan he's a possible new favorite of mine in the personal canon of the dau

because he wants them to know of course he does but he doesn't want to return possibly ever he doesn't want to pickup where he left off in his grey warden training he's an antivan crow he has a purpose and a home he made for himself

i'm also under the belief that teia was the person that duncan went to when he wondered if he should send a letter to his parents saying that he's alive

i also like to think that duncan is viago's first true "fledgling" and that is why teia always calls him out on his bullshit posturing in front of the other houses when it's really just viago being worried about his adopted son

because for all of viago's lectures to duncan both of them love each other very much and duncan believes he will never be able to repay viago for saving him that day

i want to write a little fic about pre-veilguard with viago giving advice to duncan after rescuing him
