The reason fandom spaces on twitter might be dead is probably obvious but things aren't going so well on BlueSky either 😕 One of BlueSky's coders uses AI for coding and believed dropping their phone in water would solve it from overheating 😅

The issue is it tends to bleed towards different platforms beyond YouTube 😬
Neither did I but I saw youtubers and such saying that it's cringe.
There are straight up people who think having OC's or sonas is cringe.
I wonder if this has to do with "cringe culture". I have a theory it's because during the pandemic a lot of "normies" joined fandom spaces (usually neurodivergent dominated spaces) and started bullying people for being "cringe" so now people are afraid to express themselves.

I truly miss old school DeviantArt deeply. It was such a special time and I wish we could return to form.
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
