I am curious thoughβ€”is this just me? Do any of you other writers get this kind of fear? If so, how do you overcome it? 5/5

This time, I’m not gonna let it stop me. I have to push through and accept that the writing will slow down. I just have to keep it from stopping, and keep from beating myself up about it. My personal timetable gives me the rest of the year to finish this book, and I’ll take the time. 4/5

I’ve been here before. I’ve stretched things out as far as they can realistically go. It’s all great character stuff (really great), but I need to get to the plot of the second half. I need to get the book moving again. And I am afraid of letting the first half of the book down. 3/5

I’ve built a great foundation. I really, really like what’s most probably the first half of the book. And a part of me is asking myself, β€œhow will I totally mess this up?” And it paralyzes me from advancing. 2/5

I’ve hit something with this book that I think has happened to me before and has made me abandon projects in the past. I’m afraid of screwing it up. 1/5

Hearing coyotes screaming during the daytime. Weird.

I hope everything is ok.

I’ve written 875 words in the past 40 minutes or so, but I’m not sure how much more I can do without some significant thinking time. Sigh.

It used to be called β€œburying the lede” and was a journalistic no no.

A farmers market in deep blue Hanalei Bay might seem like a strange place to meet Trump supporters. But over the soothing sounds of a ukulele duo covering Jack Johnson, you can hear whispers that DEI is the reason it’s 6 bucks for three malasadas

I was lucky enough to see a screening of Jason and the Argonauts in the late 90s in Seattle where Ray was in attendanceβ€”and got to actually see some of his puppets, including the last remaining skeleton.

He was a very nice man.
