I am pretty sure there will be two triggers, one from you and one from your opponent that go on the stack in Active Player, Non-active Player order. So if the land dies on your turn, their trigger will resolve first and they will get the land. Vice versa if it dies on their turn

This is the weekend F1 is in Montreal. Trying to find any place to stay will be almost impossible or at least unaffordable. Very unfortunate timing

Today's flight home got delayed by 4 hours. Really not my weekend lol. At least I won a team cube draft. Also had some really good hangs with friends and many of my friends did well so I am very happy for them. The Magic was not great this weekend but the Gathering was spectacular.

Went 2-4 at the Baltimore Spotlight with Vivi Cauldron, felt I ran very cold. Disappointing but it happens. Signed up for the Super Standard RCQ at 9 on Sunday and lost R1 super quick. Joined the Modern equivalent at 9:30 with a borrowed Etron and lost to Titan (I was told that is its worst matchup)

The non-hybrid examples you gave would not be changing at all, and they have non-hybrid symbols. I don't know why that would be confusing. There are a lot of rules and cards for new players to learn. Why would this be harder than any other rule? New players aren't babies that need protecting.
