Don't do harassment. But if you're curious, here's the reason why Phantom, Lugoli, Last Judge, ect have suddenly been gendered on the Silksong wiki, when previously they were unstated.

Can we stop using translations as a source for Phantom’s gender and just leave it at Unknown or something Latest comment: 20:48 9 comments 6 people in discussion I keep seeing translations being used to define Phantom as female on here and I want to say that in the German translation of Silksong Phantom is referred to with er/ihm/sein, which are masculine pronouns. If we allow translations as sources for a character’s gender, we should be adding “possibly male” to the list, no? Translations are wildly inconsistent for character genders because many languages don’t have neutral pronouns and it’s probably safer to stick to the text written in English, right? We're in the process of reviewing and updating genders based on priority and accuracy of sources. We recently got a list of official genders that Team Cherry gave to the translation teams, which we are using as the basis if it's supported. It seems as if some of the teams were matching the "neutral" approximation of their language, while others were using the gender guide. If you want to talk about this more effectively, I recommend joining the Discord linked in the sidebar, where we have already gone through several waves of this discussion. It's unfortunate, but the Hollow Knight community does suffer from a transphobia problem, especially in regards to nonbinary or gender non-conforming characters. It took years for Vessels to be acknowledged as genderless, so I don't imagine this being fixed anytime soon for any Silksong characters. Third, pointing to gendered languages like Spanish is fundamentally flawed. Like, the Outer Wilds devs have confirmed that the hearthians are an agender alien race.

Second, the localizations are far from flawless. The Simplified Chinese localization from what I heard was a dumpster fire, and the Portuguese one apparently mistranslated the Green Princes as TWINS, like Sailor Moon censoring lesbians by calling them """Cousins""" except accidental.

If we can't verify the authenticity of this "localization guide" how do we know this isn't falsified like how people spread misinformation around Bridget's gender with a falsified statement claiming to be from the devs.

First, maybe cite and share the localization guide instead? Because so far we can't validate or prove any of this. Most people are assuming you're making it up for transphobic reasons. If you can't cite it don't fucking use it.
