I donated some copies of Let This Radicalize You for distribution at an ICE watch training for folks who want to join school patrols in a nearby neighborhood. Not everyone got a copy, because 120 people showed up for that training tonight. I am endlessly proud of Chicago.

→ Many disabled and chronically ill writers seem to value action differently; Where other authors/stories might break out into a bombastic, physically demanding scene to create drama and high staked, many of the submissions chose to play with other narratives

→ Anti-capitalism is a popular politic
→ There was a common thread of recognising that everyone has inherent worth, regardless of ability
→ Many stories had absolutely phenomenal descriptions of physical sensations and experiences, as well as sensory details

→ Most stories featured collective care and interdependence in different ways
→ Narratives of unbelonging & trying to find belonging seem to be very popular and much-needed
→ A lot of stories were intersectional
