No kidding!! Thank you for the comment! BTW - I did get to see some of your prints at the Ansel Adam’s Gallery last April. I had just missed your exhibit, but when I asked, they took me into a back room to show some of your work they still had on hand for packing/shipping.

Another arctic front is making it's way south through the US and will get into our normally warmer south Texas area around mid-week so freezing temps in our forecast makes me think of my trip to the Faroe Islands last year. Enjoy!

I like to have the occasional night out under the stars to photography the Milky Way. These Milky Way photos are blended with 30 stacked exposures of the Milky Way to remove noise, and foregrounds shot earlier. If you look closely you can see headlamps from campsites in the peaks of Mt. Rainier.

I’ve been listening to this one just a little after Matt started it. The podcast has come a long way over the years. It’s worth browsing as there are some real gems in the catalog.

I find that the only people that worry about “the icons” are photographers. The non-photographers that follow me could care less. These sites are typically an icon for a reason, and I enjoy seeing them and photographing them for myself.

I loved this view at Mt. Rainier National Park where the yellow flowers running down the face of the rock wall seemed to mirror the water streaming down the wall to provide an interesting contrast. Enjoy!

The scene from the Faroe Islands is dominated by a massive snow covered mountain rising from the cold dark blue Atlantic Ocean with with a gorgeous waterfall in the center of the scene streaming into the ocean.

This image is clearly not from our Houston area, but it was really refreshing to wake to anywhere from 1"-3" of snow around the metro area this morning.
