By doing the foundations now they will save over Β£2,000 in local planning/bureaucracy fees - a huge amount for them.

The money donated will enable them to finish and fully furnish their pre-school, providing the kids and others in the village an education. It will also mean they can lay foundations for the primary school classrooms which they are currently fundraising to build next year.

Supporting Maddi’s Foundation has been a key focus for me this year. I know how much every single penny means to them and 100% goes towards providing the children with the opportunity of a future.

The money has been donated to Action for Children in and the Lidya Hope Foundation which my colleague Maddalena's co-founded and supports orphaned children in Tanzania.

After many posts about my Christmas Charity Print, this is the final one (I think).

Over the course of 5 weeks I sold nearly 350 prints (more than 3x last year) raising around Β£5,000, which when added with some very generous donations took the total raised to Β£11,000 and I’m still receiving orders.

Looking up at the summit, the surface below still showing through, plotting a way to the top.

Or is it all that is seems.

I am always amazed at what I find to photograph looking up, behind, and down, beneath the surface.

The tones in this image work so well for me, soft and complimentary. The ICM feature, positioned perfectly, has just enough detail to pull me in through the soft mist like surrounds.

Such a fantastic graphical image. On first glance I would swear it was a sculpture of some sort, perhaps in front of the Louvre or something. Then, when looking deeper the slight detail within the silhouette unearths it's true origin.

A wonderful abstract with so much interesting detail within it to let the mind wander. For me I see 2 grumpy characters on a pebble/rocky beach under blue skies with a fading moon. The shape of the rust and decay helping to create the features of what look like the little British Gas flame characters from their adverts. Maybe they're not happy with the new price hikes :)

Great use of movement in this image. The Old Town description adds to the feel of the image, mystery, ghosts and ghouls. The faint face in the distance and the gorgeous streaks and curves of light on the right hand wall all help to compound the haunting feel to this backstreet scene.

It all comes back to me now & it just doesn't get any easier, but here goes. I had it down to 8 for a while but eventually here are my favourite 4

Love this approachβ€”winding through snowy trees with intention and care, finding quiet moments in the landscape. There's a real thoughtfulness to how they see winter. Absolutely worth following. #photography #blackandwhitephotography

Many will be thinking about hitting the slopes this winter in the middle of a snowstorm, getting a buzz as they fly down the side of a mountain.

I am thinking about those same slopes but working my way around the trees, capturing beautiful moments in time.

An image from our landscape locations workshop to Hokkaido earlier this year. Hokkaido is, without doubt, one of the most incredible winter locations I’ve been fortunate to visit.
