Thanks Mick appreciate it. I’ve looked at that shot before but it just didn’t work with the light.

This wasn’t one of those locations but a composition I had passed previously and had tried to make something work.

I think in these conditions it works well and the graffiti pops out when you convert to black and white.

Forecast for Sunday was blue skies and sunshine so I went for an early morning, not sunrise, walk into the City Centre with a couple of locations in mind that might worth with light, shadows and contrast.

Saturday evening and a little panic set in as I hadn’t taken a single shot with my phone all week…

With the sun shining and blue skies it was a good opportunity with the light, shadows and contrast to try and get #myweeklyphoneimage so I took myself for a wander along the river. Managed to get something plus a couple of ideas for a future week.

Thanks Sarah, it’s been very interesting, challenging at times to try and maintain some form of collective style, but importantly fun and got me taking and sharing a picture each week.

Took a lot of patience to get it without too many people in the way and before the nice light went.

Rarely do I include people in my photography but I think that on this occasion it merits it and extends the variety of subject matter I have shot as part of my weekly phone image project.

I’ve lots of shots of this spot, but I felt this couple worked best.

Freezing fog, hard frost and the tracks of a plough, on Gall’s Drove.

Lovely shot… we visited there last week!

Lovely shot mate and great to catch up.

While many would share the colour version of this incredible sunset, I think it works really well in black and white, the dark sky and beautiful light on the grasses.

Stormy conditions yesterday… a brutal gusty wind and driving rain showers.

Managed to get the camera out of the bag a couple of times, let’s see how sharp the results are (or if they are any good!)

Recent(ish) work...

Many miles of coastline last week, more photographs taken than I expected, and for #myweeklyphoneimage I settled on this shot.

For me, the lovely shape of the land, the contrast between land water and sky, and the atmosphere from the mist (it was more like drizzle!).
