Greer Lankton was known for her life-like dolls. All of the dolls are portraits of her friends and refer to gender topics. The artist always enjoyed playing with dolls. As her parents were taking the toys away, deeming them “inappropriate” for a boy, she began sewing puppets from cloth scraps.

Day 21 of 30 of art as protest. Today’s art is Egyptian Rocket Goddess by Audrey Flack. Flack believes art should be accessible and understandable to everyone, so she works in a realistic style. Her Goddess sculptures are imaginings of goddesses for modern times.
