Government's repeat protest restrictions worse than feared - Liberty
π¨ BREAKING: The government has tabled their plan to restrict repeat protests.
Demonstrations could now banned based on the 'cumulative disruption' that previous protests have caused in the area - regardless of if they have been organised by the same people or not.
This is worse than we feared.

A hostile environment: language, race, surveillance and the media
A hostile environment: language, race, surveillance and the media is the second of two reports analysing parliamentary and media debates from 2010-2024, and shows how large sections of these debates encouraged widespread hostility to migrants.
Our government and media are complicit in enabling racist violence, our latest report shows.
One year since the racist riots broke out across the UK, violence which has continued since, those in power cannot continue to deny their enabling role.

UK Gov is trusting private capital to save us from climate breakdownβcovering up to 90% of the costπ
Some on the right will agree with this approach.
BUT it only works if companies are incentivised to do the right thing.
How then can Gov justify giving 84% tax relief for oil & gas investment? ππ
