I'm currently in a CAIN game, and we barely use a vtt for that at all - we use no maps, we keep character sheets using a google sheet someone made, roll20 is there just for dice rolling and that could be done in a number of other ways since we don't need more than four d6s at once anyway.

I've only used Foundry for PF2e. Its integration is considerable - maps automatically restrict player vision using walls and whatnot, and all kinds of mechanics can resolve automatically. It's definitely a great way to play that system.

I wonder if a fantasy Tolkienesque adventuring ttrpg exists that'd use the Forged in the Dark mechanical shell. Looking through the options a bit, maybe Songs for the Dusk? There's also Band of Blades but it seems less so.

Blades in the Dark has:
- stress as a core resource to manage, and traumas
- a separate heritage and background
- no combat subsystem, nor are there numbers higher than 8 in most contexts

It is however a game about being criminals in a dieselpunk haunted city, so not fantasy adventuring

It's a game in the Tunicwilds genre (being the wilds half of the genre's name)

The first idea that came to my mind was "some kind of multiheaded reky", so maybe an original Greek Chimera Reky? Lion head with a green mane and skull choker, goat head with purple wool and skull choker, and snake-head tail eith a skull choker

I didn't know Reky was described in the Bible
