this actually made me look up what Minamino is up to these days (after impressing me at Salzburg, then having his villain arc of joining liverpool, before flopping there tremendously). apparently he joined Monaco and following a disappointing debut season, actually found his form. not bad.

always thought he deserved better after Salzburg. though his form did leave some to be desired - he could be so great, showing real brilliance and potential in some matches, then hit a drought right after. i still remember those few transfer windows when i was desperate for him to join utd 😅

for me personally it’s too early to complain about the style because we’re in our…3rd, 4th serious attempt at a rebuild now? i loved our football under Ole, it was exciting. still don’t think it would’ve been the way forward. if Amorim gets his players, i imagine it’ll get better. at least i hope 🤞🔴
