Hmm. Drone face parts; the head could be my usual primitive shape but surrounded by little drone sub-faces for all those pesky jobs like seeing, hearing, and talking. I like where this idea is going.

I was thinking of a poncho'd mech, but styling it like a fancy shampoo bottle. The bottom half of the poncho would be transparent and, the mechs body would be a spiral of limbs, visible through it, to make it look like a jellyfish.

Also, sketch for "rain."

I don't think I'll finish off this picture but I'll do a full illustration of the mech, maybe tomorrow if there's time.

I could be tired but, actually, that second one seems stupid enough to be a good idea.

Next head will be better; maybe a head with two! rings. Or maybe with another, smaller head orbiting it.

#MarchOfRobots2026, 01: Head... with a ring. I'm tired, so it'll have to do.

If I wasn't tired, I'd probably have centered the head in the ring.

:D The original was meant to be an all-round, fast fighter. So I like that it would still do that kind of thing :D

Yes, but not for that reason; I figure, being so wide apart, there would need to be some sort of mechanism to bring them closer together to shoot closer targets whilst maintaining parrallel lines of fire (as opposed to converging).

Here's the timelapse of the sketch BTW. When I do a recolour I'll put the pilot details back in but, to just keep things moving along, I've omitted them in this instance.

#MarchOfRobots 26, no 3; Refresh. Sort of?

I did the sketch for this ages ago and I particularly disliked the lineart, so I abandoned it for a while. I guess this counts as a "refresh" of that lineart into something I actually like and could finish off.

For a trench warfare mech, that's a fun mental image :D

Marchofrobots 2026, 2; Upgrade.
I chose an older design of mine and brought it in line with my current design philosophy of big-fists and conical studs.

The wirey build of the original makes for a good juxtaposition to its new arms.

True, like when Paptimus shows up and starts handing out boutique hot-rod MSs to every woman he meets :D

I think the Messala is one of my favourite designs from Zeta.

Keep it for later though, that would be cool on a mech if you find the right one.

Look forward to seeing it.
