When I was a graduate student the process of DNA de-methylation was a complete mystery. Until Dr. Anjana Rao described for the first time how the TET enzymes mediate the process. It was amazing to meet one of my scientific heroes this week.

Yesterday I was invited by the graduate students to talk about my career path. Did not expect to have so much fun digging into my PhD and postdoc and eventually some undergraduate treasures: Perkinsus atlanticus was my first organism of interest and how I became fascinated with nucleus.
