In the offseason Marc sees an opportunity to ride for the factory Ducatti team and gets it. Now the most agressive rider on the most aggressive bike, and fully healed after 5 years, thats ballgame. Marc clinched last night with 5 races to go and hes in a position to keep this up for several years.

Without Marc Honda is cooked, while Ducati becomes more and more dominant. He has several comebacks with Honda but just keeps reinjuring his arm. He joins his brother Alex for 2024 on an indy Ducatti team and shows glimpses of his old self but hes not the same living nightmare he used to be.

He pushes too far. He highsides off the bike and crashes hard, but watch at the end where the tire hits him in the arm because this is how he breaks his humerus and starts 3 years of recovery. Marc, who is insane, tries to ride in the next race and even attempts practice before admitting he's hurt.

This would be race over for anyone else. Instead Marc goes on the most insane and hardest riding comeback ever seen. He tears through the field. Already the most agressive rider Marc takes it to 11. Its possibly the most impressive riding in the history of the sport. Until..

Its the first race after the start of covid, shortened season, lots of older riders, more pressure than usual on everyone. Marc is dominant and the massive favorite to win his 7th title. He starts hot and races Maverick Viñales for first. They trade positions until Marc goes wide into the gravel.

Marc Marquez won his 7th Grand Prix title and 9th world championship in Japan last night. To understand why this is so significant you have to understand the 2020 Spanish Grand Prix, the greatest performance ever for a rider who didnt finish the race.
