When a Polyphemus caterpillar was eating some White Oak leaves in September 2022 I wasn’t worried because I knew how Oaks support many species.

To echo your words, it’s rewarding and amazing. I have read “The Nature of Oaks” by Doug Tallamy two times so far. I know that White Oaks are keystone species and have a cascading influence their ecosystem. My community in Ontario has not enough Oak trees.

The first one is a Shumard Oak, which I grew from an acorn and third one is a White Oak, which grew from an acorn I planted in that spot in 2015.

He actually reduced something more than 100%!
