The electron of an atom, because of its quantum nature, is used as a qubit. Outside of quantum computing, the electrons of all atoms are constantly in and out of superpositions between different "on" and "off" states.

What are qubits? In a normal computer, a bit is the fundamental unit of information that is either "on" or "off", or a 1 or a 0. A qubit is a unit of information that can be "on" or "off" or somewhere in between. They are the building blocks for quantum computers.
