#Boaz and 10 elders of the city met with Ruth’s potential #redeemer. Boaz told him that Naomi was selling her land and it included Ruth’s redemption. The man turned down the offer. Boaz then bought the land, married Ruth, and they had a son, #Obed, future grandfather of king #David. (v1-22)
#Ruth 3
Naomi told Ruth that Boaz would work the threshing floor at night and that she should go in secret and, once he lay down to sleep, uncover his feet and lie down. #Boaz was startled to awake with Ruth laying at his feet. He #blessed her and promised to #redeem her if no one else did. (v1-18)
#Ruth 2
Ruth gleaned in a field of Boaz. #Boaz gave Ruth his #blessing and protection to glean his fields, and they enjoyed a meal. (v1-23)
Boaz to Ruth, “All that you have done for your mother-in-law…has been fully told to me…a full reward be given you by the #LORD, the #God of #Israel…” (v11-12)
#Ruth 1
Elimelech, #Naomi, and their 2 sons sojourned from #Judah to #Moab. Elimelech died. The sons married Moabite wives, Orpah and Ruth. Then the sons died. (v1-5)
Naomi urged Orpah and Ruth to go and start new lives. Orpah left, but Ruth stayed with Naomi as she returned to #Bethlehem. (v6-22)

“Now the men of #Israel had sworn at Mizpah, ‘No one of us shall give his daughter in marriage to Benjamin.’” (v1)
Wives were to be given to the tribe of Benjamin, but not from the main tribes. From Jabesh-gilead 400 young virgins, and from Shiloh an unknown number of daughters. (v2-25)

Then 400,000 men of #Israel prepared for war against Benjamin. They demanded the guilty men of Gibeah be given up for execution, but #Benjamin refused and prepared for war. Benjamin was winning at first. Israel sought #God, pretended to retreat, ambushed #Gibeah, and won the war. (v1-48)
#Judges 19
A Levite’s concubine ran away. They reunited, were traveling home, and stopped at night in #Gibeah. Men of Gibeah tried to sexually abuse the Levite, but instead sexually abused his concubine to death. The #Levite then cut her into 12 pieces and sent her to each tribe in #Israel. (v1-30)

“…the #tribe of the people of #Dan was seeking for itself an inheritance to dwell in, for until then no #inheritance among the tribes of #Israel had fallen to them…(Dan) took what #Micah had made and the #priest… they came to Laish…and struck them…and burned the city with #fire.” (v1,27)

A man named #Micah restored 1,100 silver pieces to his mother after she had them stolen. She then dedicated the #silver to the #LORD but also wanted two silver idols to be made. Micah made a #shrine for the crafted #idols. Then, a young, sojourning #Levite came to stay with them. (v1-13)

#Samson loved Delilah. The Philistines asked her about his #strength. Samson told her his strength would leave if his head was shaved. (v4-17)
#Delilah shaved his head and he was captured. #God returned Samson’s strength to collapse a building and kill 3,000 people and himself. (v18-31)

#Samson caught 300 foxes, tied and torched their tails, and released them to burn the Philistine’s grain and orchards. (v4-5)
Samson was bound and taken to the Philistines. The #Spirit of the #Lord came upon him, he broke his bonds, and killed 1,000 men with a donkey’s #jawbone. (v9-17)

#Samson told his parents he was to marry a Philistine but didn’t say he’d use it against the Philistines. (v1-4)
Samson killed a #lion and later found #honey in the carcass. He bet the Philistine wedding guests couldn’t solve a riddle about it and killed them after they cheated. (v5-19)

Manoah’s wife was barren. The #angel of the #LORD told her she would bear a son. (v2-23)

The men of #Ephraim asked Jephthah why he didn’t call them to also fight against the Ammonites. #Jephthah and the men of #Gilead then seized Ephraim’s territory around the #Jordan river and killed 42,000 Ephraimites. (v1-7)

So his brothers cast him out. The Ammonites then attacked and #Jephthah was asked to lead. He led #Israel and defeated the Ammonites, but he made a rash #vow that required him to sacrifice his only child. (v2-40)

#Israel again did what was evil…So the anger of the #LORD was kindled against Israel…Israel cried out to the LORD, “We have sinned against you, because we have forsaken our #God and have served the Baals.” (v6-7,10)
