This. The first time walking around the bow as a kid. Jumping off n the air and getting blown backwards by the wind.
@nancybepple.bsky.social what do you think? I’d like to know.
This crisis as far as fatalities go is so often shown as a street thing in media… people in alleys and doorways.
It really isn’t.
It’s an at home crisis. It’s a “where people live” crisis.
this is a public health catastrophe
one of the 150 people who died in January was under the age of 18.

Horrible to see “Other Township” aka rural BC with such high numbers again.
I’m part of a working group that’s looking at strategies to fight back.
We get their emails. Right in the round file.
It’s days like these where I can see my future as the wild eyed wild haired guy with hand lettered signs preaching about the end of days in front of the B.C. Legislature.
Talking to a lot of elected officials today… it’s hard times.
If they sold popcorn 🍿 in the gallery, we could probably reduce the deficit.
Expect a bit of a circus in the legislature this morning.
The NDP are putting forward a motion to affirm human rights, a call out to the Conservatives after their first reading vote in favour of a bill to repeal the human rights act

OneBC MLA Brodie and independents Kealy and Armstrong vote against #bcpoli
After three hours of debate, they'll be holding a division vote on the motion #bcpoli
Glad it worked out and everyone is safe.
Still have zero BCHP officers stationed in Clearwater, amazing that officers were available to respond to the initial incident.
We need those positions filled.
And we still have protesters in Blue River after 7 years… 🙄
“Out of an abundance of caution, police closed the highway in both directions for both police and public safety,” the RCMP statement said. “The Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Service were called to assist with the arrests due to the high‑risk nature of the incident.” 3/4.

Windy but stunning.
Reports of a multiple semi accident north of Vavenby. One vehicle on fire. Sounds like highway 5 will be closed.
And that’s not the wildest thing today.
Utility safety concerns about plug-in solar panels prompted 5 states to delay votes on enabling legislation. Germany has 1.2 million balcony solar panels registered with no safety problems reported. Here's my @npr.org story: www.npr.org/2026/03/12/n...
There is a local nonprofit indigenous daycare that does amazing work, is expanding, but needs more funding/grants.
What’s out there? Suggestions?
NEW: Iran has published footage showing the moment the US-owned oil tanker in the Gulf was struck by a drone-boat loaded with explosives.
Devastating.
And impossible to defend against. They are just sitting ducks.

This is enraging and the media (Global News) is helping spread disinfo about this project rather than unpacking it.
Now the people spreading the disinfo have even begun to make threats that they’ll quote: “have to defend the park and neighbourhood.” I’m sorry but that language often veils violence.

Not shocked at all. It’s not about reality, it’s about the opportunity to excessively profit when there seems to be an excuse to do so.
How did I know it would be Scott Nelson without even opening the link.
Nadia Schadlow, Trump’s former Deputy National Security Adviser, hasn’t read the Constitution
Agree. I’ve voted for/donated to every political party federally at some point - except the BQ, PPC, and Pollievre Cons.
The current NDP national race … I couldn’t even peek at it without cringing.
Minecraft.
Oooooh. Shades of Kamloops.
