Stone Dragons

Close to finishing a song called Last Loon on the Lake by David Storey for our new Stone Dragons CD.

Love it and cool guitar

It has been around since the sixties and was used on many famous songs like Monterey by the Animals, Games People Play and many others. Made by Danalectro and has 6 guitar strings and 13 harp strings.

Worked on the new album yesterday and added sitar/harp and bass guitar along with vocals and Dave Clement guitar track to my song Moringa Tree based on an Egyptian love poem recently deciphered in a tomb.

We have Dave Clement staying with us here in Toronto and he is helping out on our new Stone Dragons album by laying down guitar and vocal tracks. So far we have 20 songs to work on!

Planning to rewatch this TransAtlantic series of DVD’s recorded in the countryside of Scotland featuring famous folk, Celtic, country musicians from Scotland, Ireland and North America. Extremely highly recommend if you can get them.

Had a fun time writing songs for FAWM this year after an absence of a few years. Managed to write three songs one Filk, one rock and one country protest song. Also got to listen and comment on a lot of fabulous song. Well done everyone.

Been busy recording songs for our new album along with trying to write songs for FAWM and listening to other FAWMers. We had our friends Dave Clement and his wife visit us here in Toronto and I passed on a dozen songs to Dave to listen to and add tracks to this summer.

Been super busy working on a friends recordings and now time to lay down bed tracks for our new Stone Dragon’s album. Maybe try and work on some new FAWM songs if I can. I have 12 scratch tracks ready and another seven more to work on.

Finished recording 11 scratch tracks for our new Stone Dragon’s Album and 8 more left to do. Recorded using my Roadie Coach to create a separate vocal and guitar track and send to my Reaper DAW in my basement studio. Tomorrow I record a bunch of songs for Chris Clarke when he comes over!

Finished all my recording tracks yesterday for Phil Mill’s new album which included banjo, octave mandolin, Loude, concertina, Bohdran, harmonica, backing vocals and button accordion. Today it is Sue’s turn to lay down some vocals.
