Is... Is Terri from Hellraiser III the inspiration for Faith from Buffy?
Shame the third film is so bad compared to the previous two.
My story HIKARI has been reprinted in @smallwondersmag.com's BEST OF YEAR ONE anthology. Please consider picking up a copy. Small Wonders do great work and need your support!

Could just be me then. Thanks for responding!
@factorfourmagazine.com Just thought you should know I tried to submit a story today and got a php error. I will swing back to you in time, but if you're light on submissions, that might be why!
Anyone want to read Dracula with me via Dracula Daily? You get emailed the bits of the story that happen on that day of the year, starting on 3rd May.

That's fair! It's a cool find either way!
I have never heard of this! Is it any good? (No offence to the lovely George Takei of course)
I wrote a thing about writing a thing, but it's possible it turned out to be a rant about Killing Floor by Lee Child.

Watched THE HOURGLASS SANITORIUM and only afterwards realised it's based on the work of Bruno Schulz. Really, really strange, but atmospheric as hell.
Some TERFs have suffered abuse themselves, but that abuse was almost always at the hands of cis men. It's easier to pick on a vulnerable minority than it is to deal with those issues.
Patriarchy is a difficult thing to overcome.
It means cis women can be abused for going to the bathroom or doing sport or just existing.
It means cis women are labelled men with cries of "we can always tell".
TERFism isn't feminism at all. It's anti-feminist.
Hopefully now more people can see that transphobia harms all women. It results in women being judged on arbitrary standards of what 'female' looks like. It encourages the abuse of women who don't look 'female' enough.
Jesus fuck will authors I like and respect stop turning out to be shitty people please.
(This is about the sexual assault allegations against Neil Gaiman, if you haven't heard.)
I needed to hear this. I can't hear this enough, honesty. Thanks, John.
Watched PARIS IS BURNING. Educational and entertaining, but also deeply sad when you realise the lack of opportunity and safety they suffered, and the fact very few of those featured are still alive.
Watched the 1993 stage version of CABARET. Amazing. And poignant. As relevant as ever.
I wrote some personal stuff down, both to help me process, and who knows... maybe it will help someone else?

If you don't have an e-reader, you'll need an app that can read ebook formats, but those are easy to find from your favourite app store. I like Readera for Android.
Check out the cover π
New story! In issue 2 of Hearth Stories magazine, you'll find MARGINALIA.
Loosely based on illustrations from the margins of medieval manuscripts. Come for the harvest festival, stay for the pet swan and uh... 'unusual' fruit trees π³
Free to read!

Hot take: your right to speech doesn't nullify the right of speech for others. Right to speech has inherent right of response to it.
But this is all a dodge, trying to launder awat the truth that fascists and bigots get their feelings hurt when people point out their opinions suck.
anyway this convo turned from silly to anxious accidentally but I really do feel so strongly that marginalized creators deserve to do stuff that isn't the best thing ever made, and like, we can have more than one great, mediocre, or even disappointing story about [insert whatever marginalization]
What a bittersweet evening. Let's focus on Nemo and the messages of peace and love. Seeing a non-binary person have so much support is heartening, although our thoughts are still with those suffering in Palestine and elsewhere.

'Banshee' from Flesh of Gods. I might do a tiny bit more definition on the hollow of the cheek and lips, and some gloss varnish on the lantern glass and blood... but for one 2.5 hour session, I'm really pleased how she turned out.
Another sale! My story 'Marginalia' will be appearing in the lovely Hearth Stories in June. It's a quiet, slice-of-life fantasy based on illustrations from medieval manuscripts.

I'd never heard of Queen Anne pistols before today, but they're a decorative and concealable type of flintlock with a barrel that screws off to load it.
I have a feeling one will end up in a story pretty soon...

This is true, sadly...
So... if you had to pick favorites - or perhaps "best of" - from what we've published so far, what would you choose? Just askin'. For reasons.
