But that's not what he's doing. He's explaining his values to a Christian audience and exorting them to recognize what values actually align with what Christ taught. But he's claiming those values are exclusive to Christianity. Atheists and other religions share these values also. It's a big tent.

Most Americans have little to no connection with the military other than they reflectively thank service members for their service. Waving flags and being patriotic is easy when you don't have to sacrifice, and you when you don't care about the "enemy" civilians or military being killed.

I bought gas last week and it was up 10 cents a gallon over the last time I'd bought gas. Today, at the same location its up another 10 cents. At other places its up far more. I don't need gas yet, but anticipate that by the time I do I'll be in for a shock.
