The number of βcharitiesβ in Australia with lavish headquarters, CEOs on $500k salaries and massive PR operations is a national disgrace. Letβs not forget Guide Dogβs Australiaβs disgusting support of a political party too. If the org has operating expenses in excess of 20%, IT IS NOT A CHARITY.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.
Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.
During a press conference, Kristi Noem claimed that ICE has not detained or arrested any US citizens. This isn't true.
The reality is that at least 170 citizens have been held by immigration agents, including two kids with cancer.
An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. Itβs a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.
Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.
Donβt be angry at workers for using food stamps.
Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

I would argue Labor has intentionally put exemptions in their nature laws. They keep our focus on renewables, while they are in lock step with project devleopers and the fossil fuel industry who care about profits, not conservation!

On the subject of ignoring the will of the voters; how about the fact that the Coalition went to the last election with nuclear power as the core plank of their policy offering and the voters handed them the biggest defeat in their history. The voters donβt want nuclear #auspol

While Fortesue is Australiaβs 3rd largest tax payer, Iβm disgusted with the fossil fuel industries in Australia who have been paying lobbyists to avoid tax while Fortescue has been paying tax - and more than 8% dividends to shareholders

Itβs funny how itβs apparently a problem that First Nations people are, allegedly, βsingled outβ for βspecial treatmentβ when it comes to positive things (not that we are), but when our Ancestors were singled out for genocide, massacres, slavery and all the bad stuff, the same people donβt care.

Some good progress this week.
Average wholesale electricity prices fell significantly in the September quarter, helped by a surge in renewable energy production, and the rapid growth of battery storage. This will flow through to retail prices - and is a sign of how our modern grid will work.
