I’m a writer and translator from Darlington in County Durham.
I’m currently working on a literary novel called The Sharp Judge, set in Dusseldorf during the Weimar Republic and the Hitler years, based on my own family’s experiences.
I’ve written six books altogether.

I’m working class which is why this book signing was done in a bus shelter not a book shop.

The opening chapter of the book by one of my mates begins with the protagonist waking up. A no no according to the rule givers. Bollocks. It reads just fine to me.

The shit writing advice book would be a weighty tome.
