The Toothless model is almost done. I'm also working on the Stormfly model as well and they will both be released hopefully soon for download. In the meantime have a render of the Toothless model based on @/SaltySerpents art.
For anyone wondering, there are plans to release these models in the future once they’ve been cleaned up a bit. So keep an eye out for them.

Yea planes with a scrolling noise and ramp colour shader. A few seperate planes are parented to the bones running down the neck.

That’s helpful to keep in mind. I wish the two cakes mentality dulled the effects of comparison a bit more though XD. But yea I have plenty of projects that nobody ever sees expect me and there is way less pressure with them, so I might just have to stick to doing those for a bit!
It a tricky area to navigate. I do also find that the pressures of wanting to improve can leave a feeling of defeat if a project doesn’t turn out right. Maybe I’ll try a few smaller ‘just for fun’ projects or even taking a break for a bit might help.
Yea I’ll have to take the time to look into some courses or something for it instead of being lazy. Texturing is one of my weaker points so it’ll do me some good too actually learn I think. Shaders is something I’ve never really touched though, I don’t even know where to start with them.
Yea aiming for that Warcraft look, but also the Arcane styling. I might just have to give it another go at some point. This one just came out feeling a bit wrong overall, I can’t really pinpoint a specific reason.
I can see about setting up some drive links. I was aiming for a hand painted brushed effect look so if you think you can do that feel free.
