so I was at first simply excited for his return and then things escalated

I beat King's Field III last night and was deeply unprepared for the narrator's voice performance in the final text crawl

Passed 10k miles on my main bike today - bought this Giant Revolt 2 in November 2021. Not bad for a guy who never got on a road bike before 2021.

Not sure what my final mileage for the year will be (currently 3,455 mi) but I left behind my previous best (3001 mi in 2022) hundreds of miles ago...

this feels like a corollary to when people who think art from their youth is better than art now - it's mostly the good stuff that survives in memory!
