Wow. Just finished the book, Death of the Author. Wow. Was skeptical until the last chapter. Totally didn’t see it coming. @nnedi.bsky.social how did you craft this truly unique story? Thank you for continuing to share your magic with the world.

Tell the Senate: Not a penny more for ICE brutality | Indivisible

TODAY: The Senate is expected to hold its first procedural vote on the DHS funding bill — and it can’t pass without Democratic votes.

We need to flood the Senate with calls demanding Democrats hold the line and vote NO on giving more money to the regime’s death squads.

In his last speech, Dr. King reminded us that the greatness of America is the right to protest for rights.

His words are as relevant today as they were then.

In the face of authoritarianism, we'll always remain active, engaged, and relentless in our pursuit of justice.

Apologies For Being White How supremacists convert responsibility into blame to avoid paying natural costs and to make everyone else pay unnatural ones.

Another insightful essay by @juliusgoat.bsky.social “Awareness and conviction and repair and inclusion hurt abuse, even if the abuser doesn't participate. This means we don't need the permission of abusers to get started at dismantling abuse.”

In 2026, we can’t take the easy path by giving in to despair. We have to keep doing something to be ready for the moment the right combination of events align and we can see a better future.

Regarding the Compact | MIT Organization Chart

MIT rejects "compact" proposed by the Trump administration.
MIT prez wrote: it "would restrict freedom of expression and our independence as an institution" and "is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone."

CRESTRICTED]
ORIENTATION
FACT SHEET
64
WAR DEPARTMENT-WASHINGTON 25, D. C. • 24 March 1945 FASCISM!
Note For This Week's Discussion:
Fascism is not the easiest thing to identify and analyze; nor, once in power, is it easy to destroy. It is important for our future and that of the world that as many of us as possible understand the causes and practices of fascism, in order to combat it. Points to stress are: (1) Fascism is more apt to come to power at a time of economic crisis;
(2) fascism inevitably leads to war; (3) it can come to any country; (4) we can best combat it by making our democracy work.

In March of 1945, the US Army issued this "fact sheet" to guide conversations with soldiers on the topic of fascism, paying particular attention to the ongoing threat that domestic fascist movements posed to the US. Their analysis of what a homegrown US fascism would look like is interesting.

I thought the same thing. I don’t even know much about this stuff and I knew the flag was wrong. Shouldn’t a “federal” vehicle have the flag correct?

George Mason Is the Latest University Under Fire From Trump. Its President Fears an “Orchestrated” Campaign. When university president Gregory Washington received notice that the Trump administration had opened an investigation into complaints of antisemitism, he was “perplexed.” But there are signs it may…

Right-wing publications called for ousting George Mason University's president just after a federal probe was launched.

“When you start seeing these hit pieces come out one after another in a matter of days, you know it’s coordinated,” said a faculty member.

When The U.S. Government Tried To Replace Migrant Farmworkers With High Schoolers In 1964, a program that brought migrant Mexican laborers to the U.S. ended. So the U.S. recruited American students to pick crops instead. When they saw their living conditions, strikes ensued.

Someone (@lewfoo) posted a long thread on the THREADS app about this. I’m posting the @npr.org story on which her thread was based here. PLEASE READ & SHARE. It’s so important.
