Fab weekend at my first South East Regional Labour Conference with some great colleagues.

Even at a time of such geopolitical uncertainty (last 48 hours!!), there was a real sense of positivity in the room. We’ve achieved a lot in our first 8 months yet the work of change is only just beginning.

Much more say over how their local services are run. A directly elected mayor will bring greater accountability as well as giving Hampshire a bigger voice on the national stage, driving investment as well as ensuring local services (especially transport) serve their communities needs. 2/2
