Duane Puryear holding the AIDS quilt panel he completed before his death. It reads "MY NAME IS DUANE KEARNS PURYEAR. I WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 20, 1964. Every time some elected democrat sucks off Reagan, I think about Duane.

The idea that people without children "have little stake in the future" is so bizarre. Does my dream of one day seeing a re-telling of Irish mythology using only Muppets mean nothing to you

STOP doing hallelujah chorus in december. that is the EASTER portion of the messiah. instead do all of ceremony of carols by benjamin britten. surely will not regret doing all of ceremony of carols by benjamin britten!

Tucked into the Cass Report, deep in the appendices, you'll find that they reviewed thousands of patient records and found no one who'd been harmed by puberty blockers and fewer than 10 detransitions.

success is not wealth, nor longevity, nor power. all these are temporary, ephemeral. success is when you get Pringles, the extruded potato snack

thank you for the kind offer to β€œhang out”sorry it didn’t work out. it turned out there was a vast library of music available to all and an empty room in which to listen to it by myself for as long as I wanted without having to β€œcatch up” or β€œhave a conversation”

Please don't call what RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya are going to do medieval. It's not medieval. It's nothing like the Middle Ages. People in the Middle Ages were happy to try all kinds of things to not die of the plague and if you'd given them antibiotics and vaccines they would have loved it.

I find it so hard to balance the practicality of this (I am not going to have a problem in a men's room) with the emotional side (being told I'm not welcome in our fucking national parks) with what a waste of my one and only life it is to have to have emotions about using a goddamn bathroom

even the decision on who to lead the distraction mission i was immediately like β€œoh this is virmire”. it feels like a dragon age game made by people who have only played mass effect. and again, love mass effect! bit its always fundamentally been a different franchise, even beyond genre differences

10.11.2024 19:28 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

like the ending is literally me3 again. the suicide mission stuff from me2. its all mass effect mechanics.

10.11.2024 18:39 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

thats definitely part of it but also theee like. stakes and finale were both much more mass effect than dragon age imo.

10.11.2024 18:34 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

and i think its very telling that less than a week after datv’s release, bioware is saying that they’re completely focused on the new mass effect game. i felt from the beginning that it seemed like they were rushing through this last stretch to get to the new me game and i was right lmao

10.11.2024 18:33 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

as i sit on it more. i think part of my problem is that veilguard feels more like a mass effect game than a dragon age game. and i love mass effect, but those two franchises have always been very different in tone and feel and like. what they’re About. and this felt more like a mass effect game.
