Got ti say deeply disappointed in @lewisatkinson.bsky.social for voting for these reforms as they harm the disabled especially in.tge future just reapting party lined. God forbid you become disabled in the future there already no support so lets make less of it

@lewisatkinson.bsky.social Tomorrow's vote is simple.

Vote to kill the bill

Or

Vote to kill the vulnerable

These reforms are cuts disguised as help, and the concessions are smoke and mirrors that just delay the suffering.

@lewisatkinson.bsky.social so are you going to actually answer your constituent regarding the welfare reforms. Are you voting to harm the disabled people or not

18.06.2025 17:07 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Not for all worse off for alot labour are harming so much

From my research looks like @lewisatkinson.bsky.social will be voting yes to PIP cuts therefore putting millions with mental health issues and more into poverty and sudice harming the most vulnerable in society. These reforms will kill .

You've previously incorrectly stated that 9 in 10 claimants wouldn't be affected when in fact 9 in 10 WOULD be affected.

Our region has already been ravaged by Tory cuts, please don't let Labour do the same. Please @lewisatkinson.bsky.social oppose the disability benefits cuts

If the cuts go ahead @lewisatkinson.bsky.social, each disabled person in your constituency would lose Β£297 per month. Thats the 28th most impacted out of all 543 constituencies in the UK. 2/

Hi @lewisatkinson.bsky.social I've emailed you several times now, and only had one carbon copy response.

So I thought as well as emailing you I'd do a thread here too to I urge you to change your mind and oppose the disability benefits cuts

11.05.2025 05:00 β€” πŸ‘ 28    πŸ” 8    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 1

So lemme get this straight, Labour will

- cut disability benefits
- stop the majority of carers coming in
- cut palliative care
- push through an assisted dying bill with no protection for those who feel like a burden

Tell me again how Labour wont be worse than the Tories for disabled people?

Just remember don't vote Labour ever they are Nazi and hurting the disabled points don't equally someone lives and doesn't mean they are capable of work

Breathing space for parents” sounds greatβ€”unless you're one of the many being dragged through degrading PIP reassessments, forced to jump through hoops, and having time taken away from your family just to prove you're disabled.

Where’s that change, Labour?

Labour’s so-called β€˜free breakfast clubs’ are a cover-up for the β€˜Children, Schools and Well-being Bill’—stripping parents’ rights and eroding family time. This isn’t about care, it’s control. #ParentingRights #StopTheBill"

The running total of hardship/poverty created by Labour looks like 10k children, 2.5m pensioners, 1.3m disabled people. Targeted austerity.

If you back this bill, you’re complicit.

The "Children, Schools and Well-being Bill" is the most dangerous and damaging piece of legislation in 150 years.
Anyone who voted for it does not care about children.
This is an all-out attack on kids, families, and the future.
The Labour Party should be ashamed.

20.04.2025 17:21 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The bill if implemented is likely to lead to even more tragedies with children being forced into a school environment that is traumatic for them leading to long term mental health issues or worse.

Again you’re focusing on the wrong issue.

Yet STILL they were not protected The teams around them let them down
The law is already sufficient to safeguard children whether they are educated at school or otherwiseBut it relies on people to take action

The children in the serious case reviews were on a list - on several caseloads , with allocated numbers , KNOWN to be at risk , some from before birth. While they were at school and long before they were home educated.

20.04.2025 16:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

this bill is dangerous to parental rights and all children.
The bill won’t stop β€œvulnerable children falling through the cracks.
A β€œnumber” for every child and a listof children who are home educated won”t stop vulnerable children being let down by an ill funded, understaffed social care system.

Starmer and Reeves are trying to get their disability cuts through by allowing MPs who are against the cuts to abstain in the vote.
Don't let them get away with this coward's way out.

19.04.2025 15:17 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

News circulating that Labour MPs who abstain on the vote on disability benefits may not lose the party whip.

To be very clear… Abstaining is as bad as voting for the Bill.
Abstaining is a vote for killing disabled people.

Nothing less than a vote against is sufficient.

SERIOUS QUESTIONS HAVE TO BE ASKED
87% Standard Daily Living
13% Enhanced Daily Living
PIP claimants don't have a "4" so when reassessed IF MPs vote DEADLY CUTS through Parliament - THEY COULD LIKELY ALL LOSE THE PAYMENTS

1.3 million ill people could lose PIP under Labour's disability benefit cuts Labour's benefit reforms could see thousands of people with cancer and more than 200,000 people with arthritis lose their PIP payments.

1.3m people with cancer, arthritis and more could lose PIP under Labour's benefit cuts.

We are all one accident/illness away from needing benefits. It is in our own interest to oppose.

It wasn't in the manifesto.

Mobilize your MP to oppose this cruel cut. Tax the rich.
