The hell would his ramen be broken for? It was that damn Yuffie! Spilling her goddamn lunch all over his shit... It had taken only a few minutes to get all the noodles and whatnot out of his toolbox and to dry, but it still smelled like beef bone broth.

His tools were dry now, but fuck, did they still smell like ramen!

Sitting back on his lawn, Cid cracks open a cold one and takes a sip with a satisfied sigh. This was the life... Just him, an ice cold beer, and the spectacular view of the sun setting on the horizon.

And blessed silence.

Shera didn't brew him coffee. She knew he liked tea.

—in one of her moods, Cid yelled, "Shera, goddamnit, woman! I told you not to slam shit while I'm sleeping!!!!" It was then that he noticed the cup of coffee on the nightstand beside the cough that he realized his mistake.

"—What the?!" Jolted awake by the sudden violent assault on his sofa and the thundering sound of the door to the room being slammed shut, the cantankerous Air Force pilot bolted upright, pale blue eyes wide and expression perturbed.
