Namek the donkey kneels and falls forward to grovel at Sinh the lion's feet. Sinh puts the bottom of his foot on the donkey's forehead as a kind of insult and orders the donkey be taken to a special room once used for hanging meat.

Another Friday, another page of Nandavanam House. There really is no graceful way to go from your knees to your belly when you hands are cuffed behind your back.

Sometimes you need to let the meat season a bit before you work with it.

Namek the anthropomorphic donkey kneels in front of Sinh the lion. He makes excuses for not paying Sinh back and not keeping on contact. Sinh is not pleased. Namek tries to barter sexual favors in order to get some extra time and avoid being brutally beaten by Sinh's henchmen. This is not the first time.

Namek, are you really sure you want to do that?

Zubin the striped hyena explains to Namek the donkey that he should go upstairs and talk to the person who summoned him. Bijou the honey badge chides the donkey on having kept their boss waiting. The boss, Sinh, a lion, explains to passive-aggressive donkey that the donkey should kneel.

Sinh is in a bit of a mood, I think. He really doesn't like being kept waiting.

I wonder what this is all about. Probably some big mix up.

I found this in a back issue bin, when I was 12 and it was just barely starting to dawn on me that I wasn't like the other boys. I read it, over and over, across a 90's, Alabamian adolescence. And there's a very real chance, that it saved my life.

Great looking character design. I know I keep going back to the same brushes over and over but every now and then, a new one enters and stays.
