Like, we're sort of stuck between ideally wanting our news to be informative and pragmatic but actually preferring the sensationalist stuff. Do we want objective or subjective? Which do we actually click on, now that there are more choices as to what news we read?

The obsession with "newspaper headlines using passive or active voice" thing drives me insane esp when you look at headlines of the past. No, it's not a neutral choice. It is a deliberate editorial & ideological choice. I think we're also not sure what we want from news. neutrality? bias?
