California National Guard Service Members are Mobilized to Los Angeles to Assist Public Safety Efforts as Responders Battle the Wildfires

I'm deploying 1,000 more California National Guard service members to Los Angeles as we battle the unprecedented wildfires in the region.

The approximately 2,500 total service members mobilized will continue assisting local public safety efforts in communities devastated by the fires.

They don’t want to help Ukraine, California, or you.

When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit.

But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it.

Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.

No FBI background check.

1/2. Fair question. I really like this site so far and am getting many follow notifications. Most are fine. A number of them are questionable. Some, I don’t add back. Some I block. That got me to thinking about the options in other sites.

Just a suggestion for when you have some time: one of the nice features of that other place was the ability to remove a follower. Yeah, I know that I can block them but removing them seems more “elegant” — they wouldn’t show as a follower anywhere the app says “they also follow” etc.
