Since the first time I heard about carbon credits I was sure these are a Trojan horse for corruption and fraud with green washing. Even my colleagues (scientists) wash their conscience by buying CO2 offsets when they fly many times a year to conferences and project meetings.

I guess the large non-stomatal sink is introduced in the model by saying that the leaves are to a degree wet (fwet) depending on relative humidity and not on rain/dew as originally in Wesely. fwet is not from peer-review literature but maybe this does the trick also with the big-leaf approach.
