Graham Platner may be an untrustworthy former imperialist and mercenary who wore a nazi tattoo for a suspiciously long time and keeps retweeting or hanging out with evil people - BUT you do have to hand it to him: his online fans are very offputting and annoying.

Something I really encourage people to do is conduct a walk audit in their community and really look at infrastructure through the lens of someone disabled, especially if they're using a wheelchair or other mobility aid. Things are often far less accessible than nondisabled people think.

LMAO @ the Fillion Firefly announcement.

"We're back! ... Ok, we're not back BACK, I have everyone saying they want to do it. The rights holders are ok with us doing it! ... BUT!!!!!! ... ... ... they aren't bankrolling it or going to green-light an attempt themselves."

...What is the point then?

Yeah, that's where I'm at. The only reason they included him is because he'd make a big stink if they went "oh, Jayne died off screen" without at least making him do it on-screen.

I like how the first game in this video is Forza Horizon 5, where you can literally pay some credits to use someone elses tuning to where you NEVER have to learn to tune yourself if you don't want to.

Also oops, how did this article here here? I'm not very good with computers:

Straight of Hormuz, with Buddha imposed, text: The realization that the lack of oil isn't causing your suffering, but the desire for oil itself, on your path to enlightenment.

Possible solution to the Strait of Hormuz?

Nah, it's valid. Only $1,500? Have some respect for yourself. $5,000 to make negative attack ads.

They self-censored. Even the terminal/Konsole information ("<user>@<terminal>:<file location>$" is blacked out.

Not sure why the computer information is blacked. But people do that for privacy generally.

That's fair. I figured I'd ask.

I'm honestly surprised KDE and all the DE's don't seem to have a "native"/built-in viewer that formats it. They just do plain-text (which... given Markdown's goal... makes sense BUT if you're writing in it, you kind of expect the 'formatting' to be translated, yeah?)

I guess technically, I could use vim(-wiki) and/or emacs (org-mode) for it but that runs into it's own particular brand of issues.

Markdown in Kate Based on this topic I enabled “Document Preview” in Kate Settings > Plugins. Looking at my test.md in Kate, I do not see much markdon-formatting; in Okular it’s much more impressive (ref. my screensho...

Formatting, mostly.

I've tried Kate (within KDE) but it apparently needs a plugin or something for formatting views.

Basically like OP's image, but "built-in."

I've got Document Preview on but it doesn't work for me. So I've been trying to find an alternative.

Jenny, unrelated but wanting your opinion: You got a good Markdown viewer?

I've been using Obsidian on my phone, but I *really* don't want to install *spit* Electron *spit* if I can avoid it for viewing simple .md files.

...What good is that... when the main app view... is used... by 99% of users?

That is the point the person you're replying to is making. You save your account on the alternative services hosting, but if people can't see your skeets: You're banned anyway.
