Mark Cuban shared his frustrations on Bluesky about the “broken” US healthcare system. His biggest proposed solution is to make medical school FREE for all students. Doing so would encourage many more people to become doctors, ultimately shortening patient wait times and improving access to care.

I come from the right. It’s the cruelty. For the right, the cruelty is the point. The cruelty sells.

I understand all the stressors of practicing medicine today — the electronic health record, the focus on productivity and other metrics, the administrative tasks … but please don’t hide from patients’ families when they come to visit the hospital and are looking for the latest information.

Musk has made himself the most powerful person in US politics and he is openly friendly with people who talk about needing to solve the “Jewish question” and regularly discuss the generic inferiority of nonwhite races. He constantly promotes race science and has for years. And no one talks about it

Yay! It’s so good and will take lots of reading and rereading.

I know not everyone will understand, but this is a damn gorgeous book replete with stunning new poetry from many masters of the craft. It’s also a necessary temporary balm for the times.
